| Description: If you cannot attend the training on January 3rd, you can come on the 11th. You are only required to attend one training, not both. Choose one of... January 3rd- 3-5 PM Sixteen Mile January 11th - 7:30-8:20 AM Sixteen Mile PA stands for program assistant. Program assistants volunteer on one or more CanSkate (Learn to Skate) sessions with Skate Oakville. PA Requirements Must be STAR B or higher Must be 10 years of age or older Training is required, even for experience PA's. Without completing the training you cannot be a PA. Training sessions are held in September and January Volunteer hours OR Credits School Hours A PA may use these volunteer hours toward their required high school hours. We need the volunteer hour form from your school to sign off on. Please email this to the office or drop it off in person. Credits A PA may use their hours to receive a credit. You can receive $5.00 per session which will be applied to your account and you can use it toward future registration for sessions with us. Your hours will be for school hours OR credits, you cannot use the same hours for both. However, you may split them (5 for school 7 for credit for example).
